The Dennison 11 Day Intensive will include Brain Gym 101,March 08-10, Educational Kinesiology In Depth, 301,March 11-14, and The Brain Gym Teacher Practicum, 401, March 15-18 .Over the 11 days we will explore together the Educational Kinesiology (Edu-K) processes to improve learning and information processing by unveiling hidden perceptual gifts blocked by the survival mechanism. Edu-K is intrinsically a non-intrusive process that recognizes that each person's adaptation to his or her life experience is part of a complex and personal pattern. The Brain Gym work has proven its value as a tool for release of stress and postural compensations and for the re-establishment of whole brain living and learning. Class size is limited. - Double Doodle Play: A Window to Whole-Brain Vision (DD)
Using various art media, explore how to use the Double Doodle and other activities from Brain Gym® and Vision Gym® to enhance visual perception and artistic expression. Participants experience the relationship between visual skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity, and are also shown some simple ways to use the Double Doodle processes with learners of any age. Doodle Play: A Window to Whole-Brain Vision (teacher training) What you'll learn: To Facilitate the games, image enhancements, and Double Doodle variations offered by the course Double Doodle Play: A Window to Whole-Brain Vision. This basic, experiential approach to art uses the Double Doodle activity from Brain Gym® in mixed-media projects to explore visual skills and hand-eye coordination for sustained attention in the midfield. The homeplay for this teacher training course is to submit by email to the instructor a Double Doodle Teaching Portfolio. About
your portfolio: It's not to soon to start compiling your artwork!
To teach this free-flowing expression of the Double Doodle activity,
you'll put together a collection of at least 20 examples of your own
Double Doodle drawings and at least 20 more done by others, to serve
as your teaching portfolio. Some of these can be on a 8 ½ x 11
paper, but at least half should be 11 x 14 or larger. Some will probably
be quick sketches, yet please include at least five pieces for which
you have used layered colors. |

- Edu-K In Depth: Seven Dimensions of Intelligence (EID)
Hands-on experience with seven dimensions of body movement, focusing on how each can support or block the learning process.
